Trilateral agreement signed to resolve Saudi Binladin Group salary issue
A trilateral agreement between the Ministry of Labor (MoL), Saudi Binladin Group (SBG) and police in Makkah is reported to have been signed, in an attempt to put an end to a 1,000-workers protest on delayed salaries. c2,000 engineers, management staff and workers have reportedly not been paid their salaries for a period of four months. Under the agreement, workers are given three choices, either to stay at home, until the salaries are paid, quit the job and seek the settlement of the dues, or thirdly, get a sponsorship transfer.
