Abraaj Group is assessing offers submitted for its 100% stake in Spinneys Egypt, according to Spinneys sources speaking to Al Mal. Abraaj is yet to make a decision on any offers; however, a group of investors have started undertaking due diligence, Al Mal denied that Savola's Panda or Lulu had submitted offers. On a related note, Spinneys plans on opening a new c1,800 sqm branch in Alexandria (an investment of cEGP23 million); EGP15 million for establishing the store and EGP8 million for the goods that will be offered, the article added.(Al Mal)
